At Pure Dental Centre we are committed to the prevention of dental disease and encourage all of our patients to take advantage of our hygiene service.
Regular visits to the hygienist provide
a full professional and thorough clean of your teeth
advice on preventing gum disease and maintaining oral health
promotion of fresh breath
We have three resident hygienists at Pure Dental Centre:
Tonia works with us most Mondays, Thursdays, and alternate Fridays.
Tonia admits she is a bit of a perfectionist and doesn't sleep at night if she leaves any stains in your teeth! She lives in Dulverton in a busy household with her partner, their two little girls and their cat “Woody” and dog “Snoop”! Tonia is originally from the North east: an interpreter is available on request.

Karen works with us most Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Karen qualified from the University of Bristol Dental Hospital in 1997 with a diploma in Dental Hygiene, and moved to Barnstaple in 1998. She believes in providing caring and gentle hygiene treatment in a relaxed environment. She is very passionate about helping patients to keep their natural teeth for as long as possible.
Karen is married and has two daughters, who share her love of horses and ride regularly. She is also a very keen baker and enjoys walking her Labradors “Luna” and “Bella” around the North Devon countryside.

Laura works with us most Wednesdays and alternate Fridays.
Laura qualified from Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth in 2017 with a BSc (hons) in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. Laura can carry out all Hygiene work as well as working as a therapist, meaning she is also trained to carry out restorative work on all ages, and the full range of treatments that may be required on childrens primary teeth.
Laura has a keen interest in photography and art - feeling her creative side helps with her restorations!
