Glenn Teuchmann

Glenn Teuchmann

Glenn qualified from Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry in 2016. Since graduating, he has gained a wide range of experience in all areas of general dentistry, while attaining a Postgraduate diploma in restorative dentistry.

Glenn provides all general dental treatments including tooth whitening and enjoys working with adhesive tooth-coloured fillings to create natural, healthy, confident smiles. Having a background in health care Glenn takes a holistic approach to dentistry and enjoys building long lasting relationships with his patients.

Having grown up in North Devon, Glenn enjoys most things that involve being active and outdoors including surfing, walking, rugby (Chiefs fan) and skiing.

Jonny Lynd

Jonny graduated from Birmingham university in 2005 with the prize in conservative dentistry. During the next 10 years he became increasingly interested in Implant Dentistry. His involvement in this field continued to grow after discovering the huge positive impact implant treatment can make to patient lives. In 2018 he completed an MSc in Dental Implantology with distinction at Edgehill University.

Jonny is married with 3 young sons, in his spare time Jonny enjoys kitesurfing, surfing, Skiing and cycling.

Simon Flynn

Simon qualified from Guys (University of London) in 1986 and has 31 years of experience in general dental practice.,including running a very successful multi surgery practice in North Devon. His professional interests are whole patient care with a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry with special reference to crown and bridgework. Married with two grown up children, away from work his interests include water skiing, snow skiing and enjoying the outdoor life which North Devon offers.

Max Flynn

Max graduated from Leeds Dental Institute in 2018 before starting work in Somerset for his dental foundation training. He then worked in a few practices around the South West, before moving to Hawkes Bay, in New Zealand, in 2020. Max really enjoyed working and travelling on the other side of the world but has been excited to return to Devon where he was born and raised.

Max is a general dentist with a qualification in facial aesthetics. Max say’s ‘I really enjoy my job because I get to meet lots of people and help to put them at ease. I find all aspects of dentistry interesting but I particularly like crown and bridge work and have been lucky enough to also get some good experience in oral surgery’

Outside of work Max enjoys a lot of sports and activities, including rugby, fishing, diving and skiing.

Hygienists

Karen Gooderham

Karen Gooderham

Karen qualified from the University of Bristol Dental Hospital in 1997 with a diploma in Dental Hygiene. She believes in providing caring and gentle hygiene treatment in a relaxed environment. She is very passionate about helping patients to keep their natural teeth for as long as possible.

Karen has two daughters, who share her love of horses and ride regularly. She is also a very keen baker and enjoys walking her Labradors “Luna” and “Bella” around the North Devon countryside.

Laura Wheaton

Laura qualified from Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth in 2017 with a BSc (hons) in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. Laura can carry out all Hygiene work as well as working as a therapist, meaning she is also trained to carry out restorative work on all ages, and the full range of treatments that may be required on children’s primary teeth.

Laura has a keen interest in photography and art - feeling her creative side helps with her restorations!

Gemma Bealey

Gemma qualified from Liverpool University in 2018 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Gemma can carry out all Hygiene work as well as working as a therapist, meaning she is also trained to carry out restorative work on all ages, and the full range of treatments that may be required on children’s primary teeth.

Outside of work Gemma enjoys cycling and getting out in the countryside.

Lizzie is our Practice Manager and has been with us since 2013. As a qualified and registered dental nurse Lizzie still nurses at the practice, working alongside Jonny Lynd in his implant clinic. She is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and welcomes comments and feedback from our patients. Away from work Lizzie enjoys walking her dog Cooper, exploring the countryside and spending time with her family and friends.

Dental Nurses

Alison Parker

Alison Parker – Team Leader

Alison started nursing over 30 years ago and joined the practice in 2013.

Alison has a wide range of experience both in general practice and working in hospital. She is a qualified dental nurse and a qualified Oral Health Educator.

Alison is the practice lead for decontamination.

Alison's main interests outside work are listening to music and live bands and following sport, especially Athletics. She also enjoys coastal walks and hopes to complete the South West coast path one day.

Chloe started nursing in 2009 and joined the practice in 2016.

Chloe has a keen interest in implants and surgical procedures.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her young family and loves to travel.

Penny started nursing in 2006 and joined the practice in 2014.

Penny often works alongside Jonny supporting him in his Implant clinic.

Outside of work penny enjoys spending time with her young family, skiing and renovating her house.

Outside of work Caroline loves to keep fit and enjoys walking, running and has recently taken up Wim Hoffing.

Kate has years of experience in chairside assistance and reception.

She has a keen interest in baking, a passion for ceramics and would like to get herself a potters wheel.

She most enjoys the surgical side of dentistry and would like to develop her skills in implant nursing.

In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with family and friends and travelling the world discovering new and exciting places.

She is very excited to become a new puppy parent soon!

Ashleigh Clarke

Ashleigh started dental nursing in 2017 and qualified in 2019. She joined the practice in 2021.

Ashleigh has a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry and also recognises the importance of oral health education in maintaining a healthy, confident smile.

Outside of work she enjoys relaxing on the sofa with her partner, a good film and popcorn. She also enjoy spending quality time with her family and friends.

Em Tattersall

Em started dental nursing in November 2019 and qualified in February 2021. Em joined Pure Dental Practice in September 2021.

Em loves all aspects of her role and is keen to learn. She is interested in periodontal treatments and also finds Implantology very interesting. She enjoys seeing the children that come into the practice and helping to promote early oral health education.

Outside of work Em loves to go walking, especially on the beach and taking photos along the way. She loves spending time with family, watching tv and reading.

Olivia started nursing in 2017 and joined the practice in 2022.

She is most interested in oral surgery, which she has had a lot of experience in her previous roles.

Outside of work Olivia enjoys spending most of her time with her cocker spaniel, Chance.

Apprentice Dental Nurse

I started nursing in 2021 and I’m currently studying for my dental nursing qualification at Exeter college. I hope to qualify in October 2023. I joined the Pure Dental Centre in January 2022

I love the surgical side of dentistry and enjoy nursing for extractions and I’m keen to get involved in our Implant surgery.

In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends and travelling to new destinations.
