Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy

At Pure Dental Centre we aim to operate a fair and transparent booking system. We hope that communicating our cancellation and missed appointment policy will help avoid any confusion.

If your appointment time becomes inconvenient, we will be happy to rearrange to a suitable time. We request that you give us at least 24 hours notice.

Appointments with the Dentist

If you should fail to attend a scheduled appointment with the dentist, our reception team will attempt to make contact within 2 working days. If this is your first failed appointment, notification will be given verbally and/or in writing and recorded in your records. If a second appointment is missed within a 24 month period, a fee will be applied.

The fee for a missed appointment will equate to £80 per half an hour of clinical time lost. Further missed appointments will result in treatment being discontinued.

Appointments with the Hygienist

Private patients pay for their hygienist appointments at the time of booking. If 24 hours notice of cancellation is not given, the payment will be retained. A further payment will be required to book future appointments.

If you are a Denplan patient and 24 hours notice of a cancellation is not given, the missed appointment may count as one of your allocated visits.
