New Patients

Become a Patient

We are delighted that you are interested in becoming a patient.

We are currently working at capacity and are unable to offer New Patient appointments at the moment.

Please keep checking our website as any change to this will be updated on here.

Please contact the practice in one of the following ways:

Your First Appointment

We are delighted that you have decided to become a patient and look forward to welcoming you at the practice. Details on how to find us can be found on our contact page.

A new Patient Assessment is £85 and we will ask you to pay this at the time of booking.

At this assessment we will perform a full oral health examination: this includes teeth, gums, tissues of the mouth, jaw joint and oral cancer screening. X-rays will often be taken at this visit as part of a full assessment.

If you have any concerns about your oral health or your smile, please discuss these with us so that we can inform you about the options available. We will provide you with an oral health treatment plan. The aim of this plan will be:

  • The elimination of any existing dental disease;
  • Prevention of further dental disease; and
  • To address any other requirements, you may have.

The dentist will discuss your treatment plan thoroughly and explain your treatment choices – if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help.

If you are interested in joining DenPlan, please speak to the reception team who will be happy to discuss the different options with you.

At your initial assessment, your dentist will be happy to recommend which plan would be the most appropriate for your needs. Please be aware that you will only be able to join Denplan once you are dentally fit and any outstanding treatment has been completed.

Our Patient Promise

Pure Dental Centre started in 2013 with a simple concept - deliver first class patient care in a patient-centred environment. Our team have joined forces to form what they feel is the ideal dental practice and share the same ideas about the highest standards of patient care and the importance of doing things properly.

We promise to:

  • Provide patient focused high quality dental care in a gentle, relaxed environment.
  • Listen to you and respond to your needs and concerns. The key to successful dental treatment is communication. We believe that patients should play an active part in decision making for their dental care. We spend time discussing the various options for your treatment.
  • Explain the cost of all treatment in advance.
  • Provide continuity of care. We love living in Devon and our families live here so we are not going anywhere!
  • Have a highly skilled dental team which continuously acquires new skill and knowledge and where every member takes utmost pride in their work.
  • Aim to run on time whenever possible.

We ask you to:

  • Take care of your teeth.
  • Come in for regular check-ups.
  • Arrive in good time for your appointments.
  • Should you need to rearrange, please give us at least 24 hours notice.
  • Pay for your treatment when requested.
  • Talk to us: let us know what you think about what we are doing well and how we can improve.
  • Recommend us to your friends and colleagues.

If you are happy with your experience we hope you will tell others and recommend the practice to them. If you are ever disappointed we would like to hear why, so we may take steps to remedy this.
